高级警官华岂伦（陈小春饰）奉命调查此案，他出人意料地选了即将退休又胆小怕死的老警察介叔（柯受良饰）做他的搭档。其实介叔以前也很勇猛，他的两个干儿子晓泰（古天乐饰）和子年（谢天华饰）也是警察，当年三人同在旺角警署工作，号称“旺角三鹰”，但后来不知怎么子年殉职，晓泰坐牢，介叔也日渐消沉。。Flashback story of an escape from the lonely, high-security Dartmoor Prison.
