徐盈和希宇排除万难结为夫妻，患有自闭症的希宇因为和徐盈的爱，从自闭中走出来，逐渐融入社会。内向男孩平安的父亲失踪，使感同身受的希宇与徐盈二人产生了将之领养的念头。希宇母亲胡钟秀对领养一事反对，令手下韩振宇调查平安的身世。振宇发现自己竟是平安的生父，之后与徐盈争夺平安的抚养权。希宇与平安日渐熟知，彼此关爱，令徐盈感动并坚定三人一起生活的信心。振宇无视平安感受，经过一番周折，以巧取的手段夺得抚养权。但是振宇失去了徐盈的尊重，平安也不快乐。身心疲惫的振宇决定离开，将平安交回徐盈抚养，去寻找真正属于自己的人生。。The film opens with a narrated disclaimer over footage of an opening coffin.
